Crews when you need them.Off your payroll.

Gridic Works LLC supplies skilled tradespeople to contractors who need to scale a crew up without hiring for it. Our people are W-2 employees — our payroll, our workers' comp, our liability. You get hands on the job and one invoice.

The classifications we staff.

Tell us the classification and the count. We match to the scope you're actually running, not to whoever happens to be on the bench.

Framing, blocking, doors and hardware, casework, and the finish work that survives a punch walk.

Concrete

Form & Flatwork Crews

Forms, rebar, placement and finish for slabs, pads and equipment bases.

Finishes

Drywall, Paint & Flooring

Hangers, tapers, painters and floor installers for interior packages on a fixed open date.

Selective demo, haul-off, temp protection and the site work that clears the way for everyone behind you.

General

Helpers & General Labor

Material handling, housekeeping and cleanup — the hours your journeymen shouldn't be spending.

Supervision

Foremen & Leads

Working foremen who can run a crew, keep a daily report, and talk to your super without translation.

02 — How It Works

From your call to hands on the job.

Order matters here. Each step produces the thing the next one needs — and you know the rate before anybody leaves the yard.

01

The Request

Classification, headcount, location, start date and expected duration. That's all we need to quote — you get a bill rate per classification in writing, and travel, lodging and per diem quoted separately from it.

02

Matching

We pull from our own workforce against your scope, not against a résumé keyword. If we can't staff it to the standard you need, we say so instead of sending bodies.

03

Onboarding & Compliance

Background, drug screen, site-specific orientation and any badging your owner requires. Certificates of insurance and comp coverage go to your office before anyone reports.

04

Mobilization

Your crew shows up with tools, PPE and a start time, and reports to your foreman. On travel work, lodging and per diem are arranged up front so nobody is guessing about it on day one.

05

On the Job

Your supervision directs the work. We stay on the employment side — payroll, comp, discipline, replacement. If someone isn't performing, you call us and we swap them.

06

Billing

Weekly invoice against signed time tickets, priced at the rate you already agreed to. If you want to hire someone off your crew, there's a fair conversion rate — agreed up front, never a surprise at the end.

03 — Who We Staff

Built for two kinds of contractor.

Both have the same problem from opposite directions: the work is won, the schedule is fixed, and the crew isn't there.

Trade Subcontractors

You won more than your crew can cover. Rather than turn it down or hire people you'll have to lay off in ninety days, you flex up for the duration and flex back down when it's over.

National Rollout Programs

Multi-site work on a fixed program schedule, in states where you have no bench. We place crews market by market and move them as the rollout moves.

Schedule Recovery

The job is behind and the owner's date hasn't moved. Add hands and a second shift for a defined stretch without carrying that headcount past the recovery.

Coverage Gaps

A foreman quits, two hands don't come back after a holiday, a start date pulls forward. Short-notice fills so the sequence behind you doesn't slide.

Travel Work

Out-of-state jobs where local hiring is slow and unreliable. Our people travel — travel, lodging and per diem are quoted separately from the hourly rate, never buried in it.

Try Before You Hire

Work someone on your job for a stretch and see how they actually perform before you commit. If you want to keep them, the conversion rate is fair and it's on the table before the first shift.

04 — Work For Us

Steady hours, real payroll, work that travels.

When one job winds down, most guys go looking. Here you go to the next job. You stay on our payroll between assignments instead of starting over with a new employer every few months.

W-2, not 1099 — taxes withheld, comp coverage, and a real pay stub for the bank. If you're willing to travel, there's more work than we have hands for.

What we look for

Same list whether you're a helper on your first job or a foreman with twenty years on you.

  • You show up, on time, every day
  • You can pass a background check and a drug screen
  • You bring your hand tools and your PPE
  • You say when something's wrong instead of covering it
  • You'll travel, or you're straight with us that you won't
